First day of Filming: Saturday 24th of March
Filming locations: An allyway in Edmonton which we used to shoot the
Agent's running sequence. We used the back garden of Mario's house as a setting to film the scene which involve's the Agent jumping into the Protagonist's back garden and then proceeds to pick the house's back door so that the Agent can enter the house.
Location stills:The scenes that were filmed in these locations where the sections of this opening that all took place in the exterior part of our films setting. These locations are also the scenes that only include the spy agent character.
This is a still of the location of where we had filmed the sequence which includes Tyrell's character sprinting across the ally way. We had filmed in this setting while it was in the afternoon time when it was approximately around 5pm. We had done this so that our film could have a good natural lighting provided by the weather so that we could alter it later during the editing process and make the lighting appear as being very dark and dimly lit.
This is the setting right outside Mario's house. We had used this setting so that we could film the scene which involved Tyrell's character leaping over the backgarden wall. This wall was one of our major props during our filming as it was one of the major obstacles that spy had to work around by expertly jumping over it in order to infiltrate the home. As this wall was very high and would be very dangerous for Tyrell to leap over, we had used the 'Match on action' filming technique in order to film this scene by filming Tyrell running up to the wall and then having the next scene begin with Tyrell landing down on the floor. This would add the effect that Tyrell had realistically leaped over the wall and landed on the other side safely.
This is the backgarden door of Mario's house. This location was used to mark the space where Tyrell's character lands after he has preformed his jump.
This is close up shot of the door handle and the lock of Mario's back garden door. This located was used to shot the scene that involve Tyrell's character using his spy equipment in order picking the lock and enter the house. We had used a close up angle for this scene because we had wanted to this scene to have alot of focus on the agent, his equipment and the lock as he his unlocking the door.
Costumes: One this day we had only filmed the scenes that only had the character of the Agent in them , so on this day we only had to take the Agent's costume into consideration. The mysterious agent was played by Tyrell. Tyrell's agent costume had consisted of an all black attire( this was done in order to represent his mysterious character), which included a black jacket, a pair of black combat trousers, a pair of black trainer with white stripes ,a black hat and a pair of black sunglasses.
Props: One this day we had used a large 6ft brick wall which was behind of Mario's home , during our filming as a prop for Tyrell's character to use to our advantage. We did this by having Tyrell run up to the wall a leap up to the top of the wall, while lifting one of his legs in the process. We then filmed Tyrell jumping into the centre of the camera's frame while he is on the other side of the same wall. We did this so that once those two scenes are played in a sequence , it will appear as though Tyrell actually leaped over the very high wall and landed on the other side in a very safe position to show that this character is very precatious and has thought well about how he would infiltrate this house . We had wanted to avoid Tyrell actually jumping over the wall because we knew it would be quite dangerous for him to preform a stunt like that over such a high wall and if he attempted it , he could have been seriously injured.
We had also used a pair of tweezers , that Tyrell could use in order to pick the lock of the house's garden door.
What we had filmed: Today we had completed filming the all of the film sequences which involves takes place in the exteior filming locations .These scenes involved the character of the Spy sprinting along the ally way behind Marios' house and also him leaping over Marios' Back garden wall. We had then shot the scene in which the agent lands in the 'Sleeping man's garden( who is played by myself) and then had filmed a close up of the Spy using spy pick locking equipment to breaking into the other man's house.
Second day of Filming:Sunday 25th of March
Filming location: On this day of filming we had used the interior of my house in order to film the scenes which featured both Tyrell's and my character inside the sleeping man's home. We had used the kitchen and the living room in the downstairs section of my home to shoot the sequences which involved Tyrell's character entering the house and then working at the laptop in the living room.
Location stills: The scenes that were filmed in the interior locations of this opening. These scenes where all filmed in side of my house.
This is location is the kitchen in my house which was used film the scene that involves the agent just after he has entered the house and while he is walking down the pathway towards the house's living room.
This is a still shows the location of my home's living room. This is the setting that we had used to film the scene where Tyrell's characer uses the props of the table and a laptop.
For the scenes that had involved my character, we had used my bedroom, which is located in the upper section of my home. We had only need my bedroom to film the scenes that consisted of my character because the character that I played is asleep in his bed throughout the majority of the film until he wakes up at the end. This meant we would not need to change the location to focus on this character since I would not have moved.
Costumes: Tyrell's character
- Black sunglasses(hides the spy's face, makes him appear as mysterious)
- Black beanie hat
- Black combat trousers
- Black Jacket(symbolizes negativity and mysteriousness)
- Black Trainers
Costumes:My character
- White T-Shirt(symbolizes innocence and purity)
- The White T-Shirt is also a contrast of the Spy's dress code, which shows how we have influenced these two characters by the Narrative structure which was developed by Claude Levi-Strauss since these two characters are shown as being binary opposites due to the contrasting colours of their attires.
- Black trousers(off-screen, under the bed covers)
Props:
- A Laptop
- A small wooden table
- A CD disc which we used for the Spy disc that is owned by the Spy
- Red chair that the spy sits on( which is used to connote danger)
