What had went well during our filming
What had went well
- The costumes:In my opinion I would say that that me and my group had used very appropriate costume designs for our characters, that I believe had perfectly suited them. By this I mean that we were able to represent our characters in the best way that we could by using the mis-en-scene of the attire such as the colour and style. In terms of representation I mean that the colours are used to represent the characters as binary oppositions such as the sleeping man with the white shirt(which represents innocence) being a contrast of the man in black clothing(which connotes negativity).
- The technical devices:Another aspect of our film that I believe we had done really well in was our use of different camera angles.Throughout our film we had made good use of our filming equipment such as our camera and our tripod so that we could include a wide variety of different camera shots by filming at angles various different perspectives and different heights. We did this so that our film would not appear as boring due to a lack of various camera shots and so that we can still keep our audience engaged in our film.
- In addition we had also aimed to use certain camera angles so that we could connote any kind of mis en scene that was being presented through the film at the time. An example of this would be the four times my character is shown sleeping in bed throughout the opening and then an addition shot for when my eyes open is shown. As the film progresses the shots of my face gradually keep closing in which is used to represent the intensity that keeps building up in this moment as the shots keep getting closer to my face until it reaches the fifth and final shot which is an extreme close up of my eyes as they open widely.
- The Lighting: I also feel that my group had used our editing skills very effectively to our advantage as we were able to alter the lighting of our filming locations to make the film's settings realistically appear as very dim and taking place during the night time, when in reality we had filmed the opening during the afternoon time of the day. We had made sure that the film had appeared in this way so that we could create a dark and depressing atmosphere to establish the film in, so that it can represent as well as relate to the sinister and gloomy themes of the film.
- The film's score: Additionally , I also believe that we had include a very suitable film music score in order to help build the suspense of the thriller as it develops and reaches its climax (likewise with the camera angles). For the score of our film we had used a fast paced drum instrument track that was played over the coarse of the opening. This score begins with a Non-digetic drum based instrument sound that is played in a very fast rhythm while the the agent is running and jumping over the brick wall. This is used to help convey a sense of excitement to the audience which symbolizes the urgency of this fast paced action sequence which involves the agent preforming dangerous feats such as hastily running towards the house and leaping over the wall.
